Qosmo Privacy Policy

Qosmo ("we", "us") makes an app that helps you scan, value, and organize your trading card collection. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Account — your email address, used to create and secure your account (via our auth provider, Supabase).
• Collection data — the cards you scan and save (name, set, number, rarity, estimated value) and your preferences (e.g. collector type, notification settings).
• Friends — friend connections you create and, for accepted friends, the ability to view each other's collections.

Camera & photos

When you scan a card, the image is processed on your device to read the card's text. The photo itself is not uploaded to us or to third parties. Only the recognized card name/number is sent to public card-catalog services to look up details and pricing. We request camera and photo-library access solely for scanning.

On-device AI

Our recommendation feature can use Apple's on-device intelligence. When it does, processing happens on your device and your data is not sent to us or third parties for that feature.

Third-party services

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting for your account and collection.
• Card catalogs — Scryfall (Magic), Pokémon TCG API, YGOPRODeck (Yu-Gi-Oh!), and Lorcast (Lorcana) receive card names/numbers to return card details and prices. They do not receive your identity or photos.

How we use information

• To provide core features: scanning, valuation, collections, and friends.
• To operate, secure, and improve the app.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party ads.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete Account, which permanently removes your profile, collection, and friend connections.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and protected with row-level security so you can only access your own data (and friends' collections you're permitted to see).

Children

Qosmo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date.
